I have recently completed a BA Degree in Business Management & Marketing, achieving First class honours, following which I gained a professional diploma in Digital and Data-Driven Marketing, after graduating my FdA in the respective field at 2:1. Throughout my degree I worked at McDonald's during which time I made my way up the hierarchy. This has allowed me to work alongside business managers to help them improve the business and practices. I understand the importance of experience alongside education to enable me to be the best I can in whatever I do.
During my time at Northumbria University I had the pleasure of undertaking a marketing campaign competition with the IDM for Royal Mail. The competition was nationwide and included all Bachelors and Masters students studying for marketing and digital marketing. My team was shortlisted into the top 3 in the UK which gave us the chance to travel to the DMA Headquarters, London, to present our pitch in front of Royal Mail and IDM executives. Although we did not win the competition the experience was invaluable.
Although I do not have first-hand experience in the marketing field as of yet, I am eager to take on the challenge and have begun building a portfolio of past university projects alongside freelance work with small businesses to practice my skills and stay up to date.
